Install the Delta In2ition Showerhead: Step-by-Step Guide

Note: I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Delta Faucets. I received a product sample and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Last month I wrote about our new showerhead, the Delta In2ition. It has several useful features, and after finishing that post I was eager to try it out.

However, I had to wait. I wanted to record the installation process and I don’t have a tripod, so I needed Justin’s help. He was hesitant because it involves a water pipe, and that can be intimidating. When he finally had a day off he agreed to look at the instructions. He skimmed them and said, “That’s it?”

Before & After Installing a New Showerhead

Installation was incredibly simple—under three minutes. I understood Justin’s concern at first, but once we realized the installation doesn’t require altering the actual pipe, the job became straightforward. Below is a clear, step-by-step breakdown of the process in case you can’t view the video:

1. Remove your old showerhead by turning it counter-clockwise.

2. Wrap the exposed threaded pipe end with plumber’s tape (sold separately).

3. Screw the new showerhead onto the pipe, turning it clockwise until snug.

4. Connect the hose to the shower base, then attach the hand shower to the hose.

That’s all there is to it. Our son Shane is now excited about showering—he used to be apprehensive, but the new showerhead made it fun for him—so this upgrade has been a definite win for our family.
