Avocado popsicles are a creamy, delicious frozen treat made with just four simple ingredients. Ripe avocados are the star, supplying healthy fats for lasting energy. These dairy-free, vegan popsicles are perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day.

Creamy Avocado Lime Popsicles – Dairy Free Recipe!
The first time I added avocado to a sweet recipe—my chocolate avocado pudding—I was hooked. Avocado brings a silky creaminess that works beautifully in sweet blends.
I also enjoy it in smoothies for that instant richness, but turned into popsicles with coconut milk, avocado, lime, and a touch of maple syrup, the result is refreshingly satisfying.
The combination of avocado and full-fat coconut milk gives these popsicles healthy fats that help keep you full and energized longer than typical fruit-only popsicles.
On hot summer days when kids are playing outdoors, this creamy frozen snack feels indulgent while still offering nutritional value—definitely a win in my book.
These popsicles are lightly sweetened and brightened with lime juice. Essentially, we’re turning avocado “ice cream” into handheld popsicles—a great way to cool down.

They keep you full – Unlike many fruit popsicles, the healthy fats in coconut milk and avocado provide sustained energy and extra creaminess.

Favorite popsicle mold options
Silicone molds are my preferred choice because they make removing popsicles easy. Wooden sticks work well and are budget-friendly. If you don’t have molds, small paper cups paired with wooden sticks are a reliable alternative.
Traditional popsicle molds
- Silicone popsicle mold — a classic shape and easy release.
Push pop popsicle molds
- Silicone push-pop molds — fun, nostalgic shapes that kids love.
Baby teether popsicle molds
- Teether molds — ideal for babies and small hands.
Popsicle sticks
- Wooden or multicolor sticks add charm and are inexpensive.
Dixie cups
- Dixie cups or small paper cups with wooden sticks are a cost-effective option you likely already have at home.

How to store
Place finished popsicles in individual wrappers or an airtight container for long-term storage. Properly stored, they stay fresh in the freezer for up to three months.

Can you add chocolate?
Yes — to make chocolate avocado popsicles, add 3–4 tablespoons of cocoa powder to the blender and increase the maple syrup by 1–2 tablespoons to balance the bitterness. The result has a rich, fudgesicle-like flavor.

Substitutions, optional variations & dietary adjustments
Here are some simple swaps and variations to suit your preferences:
Coconut milk – Use coconut cream for an even creamier texture, or blend soaked raw cashews with water as a non-coconut alternative.
Avocado – If avocado isn’t your thing but you want a green option, try spinach blended with banana for sweetness and color.
Maple syrup – Honey can be used instead of maple syrup if desired.
Lime – Lemon juice, orange juice, or grapefruit juice are tasty citrus alternatives.
